UCSB Students Barraged by Leftist Abuse in Final Week

The University of California, Santa Barbara’s scholastic year is coming to a close.  Eagar to ensure all its students have leave thoroughly indoctrinated liberals, UCSB students are committed to making a final leftward push in the final weeks of instruction.  In order to cover their bases, campus Liberals and Marxists have created a multipronged approach to criticizing the United States and forwarding their leftist agenda.  They began with Black Culture Week, preceded to Palestinian Apartheid Week; the UCSB Workers Coalition “standing in solidarity” bashed Capitalism and the UCSB Peace Fair embraced the 1960’s radical peace movement.

Although nothing is wrong with celebrating diverse culture, such celebrations are usually confined not confined to certain races.   Shouldn’t the seminar A Few Things Every Black Man Should Know be condemned as racist?  The Black Studies and Professionals that support such a program need to re-evaluate their goals to align with creating a colorblind society; after all isn’t equal evaluation under the law their eventual goal?  However in today’s political climate, President Obama is fueling race-based politics and racial division is only increasing, which is in turn decreasing the ability for cultures to assimilate into mainstream American culture.

Palestinian Apartheid week existed to increase campus tension between Jews and Palestinians.  Jews for Justice and Global Exchange distributed literature condemning U.S support of Israel.  Although their pamphlet Background and Analysis of the Current Conflict(which uses information from Spring 2001) proclaims the United States needs to overthrow its strongest ally in the middle east., CampusL.I.E was told, “East Jerusalem is Palestine’s historical and commercial heart. To exclude it from Palestinian state is unthinkable.”  Although L.I.E’s long-term friend W.I. Robinson couldn’t be found, the rhetoric and anti-Israel mood he inspires in class is apparent in the malcontented student body.

The UCSB Coalition has “stood up for workers” throughout the year.  Weather they’re premise for protesting is UC fee increases or workers rights, they only have one goal in mind: US criticism.  Their recent arguments slam the private sector for swindling their money and relying TARP bank bailouts.  Although CampusL.I.E won’t deny its discontentment with Wall Street bailouts, the UCSB Coalition routinely uses arguments to demonstrate its dismay with US polices suppressing “the little guy” Meanwhile they advocating cap-and-trade, which will really stands up for workers by increasing their energy and food prices.

UCSB also hosted a Peace Fair. Somehow an exhibit praising nuclear weapons for extended peace vis-à-vis Mutually Assured Destruction wasn’t present.  After observing the event, CampusL.I.E determined it should have been renamed “revisit the 1960’s peace movement on campus (minus the LSD).”  Tie-dying, writing peace notes and other activates took place under the supervision of Dr. Jansma's “Peace and Communication class.”  Such ignorant demonstrators always deny the real causes for peace such as MAD, and favor an emotional, idealist method of promoting peace through changing people’s ideas to what they want them to be.  They should start with the President of Iran, not UCSB students.

Clearly, radical students at UCSB have taken upon themselves to educate their peers on how society should be divided racially, how to handle world conflicts using outdated information, how increasing taxes on the little guy will help him get more out of society. Lets all keep in mind we need to change our norms in order to achieve “a more peaceful society they envision.”  Apparently, students are uncomfortable expanding their intellectual horizons during their collegiate career need to revert back to their pre-college assumptions just before graduation.
